The brilliant Jonathan Bailey has won an Oliver Award for Best Supporting Actor in a Musical for his role of 'Jamie' in COMPANY.
Originally known as 'Amy', Jonathan's role was been flipped to 'Jamie' in this gender-swapped version of Sondheim's musical.
Jonathan said: 'You literally do not have to change a word and suddenly you have a really honest, searing presentation of a man who is treading water between queer culture and the heteronormative ideal of marriage. That contradiction and debate is so relevant right now'.
What's On Stage called Jonathan's performance an 'absolute standout', whilst Time Out called it 'a terrifically funny turn'.
